KickAss 12V Battery Guard
The KickAss Battery Guard can disconnect any non-essential loads from the battery (Low Voltage Disconnect). Or it can be set as a Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) and connect the main battery to the auxiliary battery. Fully customisable Bluetooth app, manual override switch, LED diagnostics mode.
Set As Low Voltage Disconnect or Voltage Sensitive Relay
Have the flexibility to set the battery guard to suit your needs. Set the Battery Guard as a Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) or a Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR). If upgrading your vehicle and no longer need a VSR, simply change the functionality via the app.
Battery Guard – Low Voltage Disconnect
Protect your battery from accidental over-discharge. Simply install the device onto your auxiliary battery, set the voltage, and once it reaches the threshold it will disconnect all loads—preventing battery damage.
Battery Guard – Voltage Sensitive Relay
Allows both your main and auxiliary batteries to charge at the same time from your alternator. Ideal for vehicles without smart alternators.
Fully Customisable Settings Within Bluetooth App
Control and configure all battery guard preferences via the Bluetooth app. Easily set the unit to operate as a VSR or LVD.
Set Cut-In/Out Voltages & Timeout
Manual override via app—great for emergencies. Set the delay before the guard disconnects below cut-out voltage. Ideal for high-load applications like inverters, where voltage may momentarily dip.
Manual Override Switch
Get full manual control via a dashboard-mounted override switch. Perfect for jump-starting your main battery from your auxiliary battery.

LED Diagnostics
Get status updates via LED pulses:
- 1 short green pulse every 4 seconds – Battery voltage is above cut-in; Battery Guard is engaged
- 1 short blue pulse every 4 seconds – Voltage is below cut-out; waiting for timeout before disconnect
- 1 short red pulse every 4 seconds – Voltage is below cut-out; Battery Guard is disengaged
100A Continuous Max Discharge
Supports up to 100A continuous discharge (300A peak). Suitable for all common 12V setups. Maximum inverter size: 1200W.
